A Document Control Specialist manages, organizes, and ensures the accuracy, security, and compliance of the organization’s documents throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Document Control Specialists are responsible for overseeing the creation, storage, retrieval, and distribution of documents to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Managing and maintaining all controlled documents, including revisions and version control.
Verifying document accuracy, quality, and compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
Coordinating with various departments to consolidate data and facilitate document workflows.
Ensuring the security, confidentiality, and proper distribution of sensitive documents.
Assisting with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Educating and training employees on document control procedures and policies.
Using document management software and tools to monitor, track, and control documents.
Conducting regular audits of document management practices to maintain compliance.
