Vice President of Finance
A rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization is seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as the senior financial leader for a multi-site organization. This executive will partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategy, strengthen operational performance, and build the infrastructure necessary to support continued expansion.
The Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in translating business objectives into financial strategies by delivering meaningful analysis, improving decision-making capabilities, and establishing scalable planning and reporting processes. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership while helping drive profitable growth, operational discipline, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the executive team, providing financial insights that drive business performance, support investment decisions, and shape long-term growth strategies.
- Lead the company's financial planning function, overseeing the annual budget, rolling forecasts, long-term financial plans, scenario modelling, and capital allocation.
- Develop and enhance executive reporting by delivering meaningful dashboards, KPIs, and financial insights that enable data-driven decision-making.
- Analyse financial and operational performance to identify trends, uncover opportunities for improved profitability, and recommend actions that enhance business outcomes.
- Design and maintain robust financial models to evaluate strategic investments, pricing initiatives, commercial opportunities, capital investments, and other key business decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement across the finance function by implementing scalable processes, strengthening financial governance, and improving the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of financial data.
- Partner closely with leaders across operations, sales, and other business functions to ensure financial objectives are integrated into planning and execution.
- Provide financial leadership for strategic initiatives by monitoring performance, evaluating risks, and delivering recommendations that support sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
- Work collaboratively with the Accounting team to ensure effective financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and governance as the organisation expands.
- Prepare and present financial analyses, investment cases, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and other senior stakeholders.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Extensive progressive leadership experience in finance, ideally within complex, multi-site, or high-growth organisations.
- Proven ability to partner with senior executives to influence business strategy, improve financial performance, and support organisational growth.
- Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, business partnering, performance management, and strategic decision support.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable finance processes, reporting frameworks, and financial controls in fast-paced environments.
- Commercially minded with strong operational awareness and the ability to evaluate business opportunities, investments, and financial performance from a strategic perspective.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at all organisational levels.
- Previous experience in a private equity-backed, acquisitive, or rapidly scaling business is highly desirable.
- An MBA, CPA, CFA, or other recognised professional qualification is advantageous.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, business integration, transformation programmes, or organisational scaling initiatives would be beneficial.
