Senior Backend Software Engineer (Java / Spring Boot / Go)

Location: Greater Philadelphia (Hybrid – 3–4 days onsite)

Rate: Up to $80/hr (W2 or C2C)

Contract: ASAP - EOY (Minimum)

Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens & Green Card holders preferred

We're seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build and enhance scalable backend services for a leading enterprise organization. This is a hands-on role for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and working across modern cloud-native architectures.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Go
• Build REST APIs and event-driven microservices
• Work with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application reliability
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude

What We're Looking For

• Strong Java & Spring Boot experience
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices
• Kafka or other messaging technologies
• Docker & Kubernetes
• PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Couchbase
• AWS experience is a plus
• Go experience (or willingness to learn)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
