Consultant - Business Tax

Our Business Tax department provides a range of tax services to businesses (and their owners) that range in size from business start-ups to large private companies operating multi-nationally. Typically, clients are 'owner managed businesses' ('OMBs') operating as companies or as partnerships.

As a Corporate Tax Consultant, the daily responsibilities will include managing tax compliance for a portfolio of around 150 companies and partnerships, preparing tax returns and computations, liaising with clients and HMRC, and assisting with tax advisory projects. You will also support managers in planning and advisory matters, conduct technical research, and manage junior staff.

As a Consultant your day to day work will encompass:

• Responsibility for the compliance management for a portfolio of around 150 companies and partnerships
• Collation of information for company/partnership tax returns, involving liaison with clients by telephone, email and formal letter
• Preparation of company and partnership tax returns and computations for manager review on Alphatax software, including the setting up of tax working paper files, and advising on payments
• Tagging and reviewing iXBRL accounts
• Preparing non-resident landlord, Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings and Employment-related Securities returns

We are looking for somone who is newly qualified in either ACA or ACA/CTA with experience at similar size Firms.
