Main duties of the job
An opportunity for a Staff Nurse wishing to work part time hours to join our friendly Twilight Team
Our aim is to be the best we can, offering excellent person-centred, safe and Evidenced based care to those who access our services. Our Twilight District Nursing Team deliver “out of hours care” to people in their own homes and/or designated buildings. The team is made up of both staff nurses and healthcare support workers, who provide out of hours district nursing service.
You must hold a relevant Nursing Qualification with significant experience as a staff nurse. You must be a car driver and have access to a car for use at work with business insurance.
Part Time 4.5 hour shifts each. Total available hours 31.5hrs/week (7 x 4.5hrs shifts/week, hours will be divided depending on the number of successful candidates)
The service operates seven days a week between the hours of 16:30 -00:30
The post consists of 4.5hr shifts each. The shift starts at either 18:00 until 22:30hrs or 19:30 until 00:00hrs depending on the service needs. Successful candidates are expected to be flexible and to be able to work both the 18:00hrs or 19:30 hours start shifts as per service demands

Candidates are expected to have the appropriate clinical skills required for the job and be able to provide any required evidence of their clinical competence if requested.
Due to the nature of the Twilight service, applicants must already be confident and competent in community-based clinical decision-making and managing out of hours settings.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate substantial experience working autonomously including managing complex cases, lone working and making independent decisions in unscheduled unplanned care situations.
