Designer – Licensed Products

We are looking for a talented and trend-driven Mid-Level Designer to join our fast-paced creative team in London.

The role is centred around creating graphics and designing physical products for some of the world's leading family, entertainment and lifestyle brands. Working closely with the wider design team to develop an assortment of products from initial concept through to manufacture.

You'll combine creativity with an understanding of licensed brands, consumer trends and product construction to create products that delight fans and perform at retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Design innovative licensed consumer and promotional products across multiple product categories, taking ideas from concept through to production.
• Create original graphics, patterns and artwork for applications on physical products.
• Develop coordinated product ranges and collections with a strong commercial focus.
• Work confidently within licensed brand style guides while ensuring designs remain fresh, commercially relevant, and engaging.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Industrial Design and Commercial teams to ensure products are both creative and manufacturable.
• Produce accurate production artwork and technical files using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and similar software.
• Research consumer trends, retail environments, materials and manufacturing techniques to inspire new product ideas.
• Present concepts and designs clearly through sketches, mock-ups, renders, both internally and directly to clients.

Requirements

• Experience in a product design role within consumer products, licensing, or a related industry.
• Strong Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign skills, along with working knowledge of a 3D package such as Rhino.
• A portfolio demonstrating the development of physical products, not just graphic design projects.
• Commercial awareness and an appreciation of retail trends and consumer behaviour
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• An interest or passion for film, entertainment and toy industries.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience designing licensed consumer or promotional products.
• Illustration skills.
• Skills and experience within industrial product design.
• Experience preparing artwork for manufacture and working with factories.
• Understanding of product construction, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Background in product design, textiles, fashion, apparel/accessories or a related discipline.

This is a full-time, office-based role. We believe the collaborative nature of our design process is best supported by working together in the studio, so this position is not suitable for remote or hybrid working.

Salary: £30-£37k DOE
