Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver innovative electrical designs for critical facilities. You will head a team within the Critical Systems Team, coordinating with multi-disciplinary colleagues to drive efficient, reliable power and protection schemes. Your work shapes high-stakes projects, including data centres and mission-critical infrastructure, balancing technical excellence with client satisfaction.

You’ll build lasting client relationships and mentor junior engineers to ensure repeat, profitable work. This role blends advanced power design, coordination, and leadership in a globally active consultancy.

• Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers and BIM technicians
• Manage delivery of technically excellent, profitable electrical design projects
• Coordinate with Mechanical Services and CSA elements across disciplines
• Develop and nurture client relationships to maximise satisfaction and repeat business
• Prepare specifications, project reports, and technical documentation
• Design power distribution diagrams (SLD) and perform protective devices discrimination and arc flash studies
• Contribute to redundancy, resilience, and availability planning for mission-critical installations
• Oversee HV design (above 20kV) and LV/HV switchboards
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, NFPA, and FMG standards

Tasks

• Masters in Electrical Engineering or Chartered Electrical Engineer (MEng equivalent)
• substantial electrical engineering experience, preferably in data centres/critical systems
• strong coordination skills across disciplines
• proficiency with Amtech, Etap or SKM software
• experience designing SLDs, protection, arc flash studies, earthing and cabling containment
• knowledge of HV design above 20kV and UPS/standby generators
• familiarity with IEEE, NFPA, FMG standards
• excellent communication and project management skills
