THE POSITION

• Drive new business through proactive sales strategies including cold calling, networking, client meetings, and events to secure contract and interim hiring opportunities across Technology
• Identify, qualify, and develop new and existing client partnerships by leading discovery conversations to understand business needs, staffing challenges, and growth opportunities
• Build and expand long-term client relationships through consultative, solution-led selling, account expansion, and cross-selling initiatives
• Own and manage local client partnerships, collaborating with senior sales leadership on key and national accounts as required
• Maintain strong market, industry, and competitive knowledge to provide insight-led guidance and informed workforce solutions
• Partner closely with recruitment teams to support active and future mandates, sharing client insights, workforce requirements, and market intelligence
• Own end-to-end client communication, including expectation setting, risk management, issue resolution, and ongoing relationship management to ensure service excellence and profitability
• Ensure compliance, process adherence, and quality standards across all client deliverables
• Proactively identify and escalate client risks or concerns to recruiters, business unit leaders, or senior leadership as appropriate
• Facilitate clear, two-way communication between clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and strong client representation
• Continuously develop professional, industry, and market knowledge through education, networking, and professional organizations
• Perform other related duties as required to support business objectives

Qualifications

• Proven track record of success in account management, sales, or client-facing roles
• Previous business development experience required
• Strong ability to build, manage, and strengthen long-term client relationships
• Willingness and ability to cold call and proactively prospect to identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts
• Confident, self-motivated, and a proactive self-starter
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Goal-oriented, persistent, and an effective negotiator
• Demonstrates a high level of initiative and works well in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to manage pressure, handle challenging situations, and meet deadlines
• Plans and executes responsibilities effectively with minimal supervision

COMPENSATION

At Hays, we offer a dynamic and high-performing work environment where our uncapped commission structure surpasses industry standards. We are committed to recognizing and rewarding the hard work and dedication of our employees. The salary for this role consists of a base salary between $50,000 - $60,000 with uncapped commissions.
