Reporting Relationships

The Accounts Payable Clerk reports directly to Manager, Accounts Payable and has no direct reports.

Accountabilities and Key Functions

The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk manages a company’s Incoming email inbox for Invoice Accounting & AP. Key duties involve downloading and verifying invoices, Pandell & Rent upload, applying wire payments to bills, responding to general ap inquiries, inbox vendor maintenance, other ad hoc tasks. This is a part-time role, with 20 hours worked per week, for a period of 6 months.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the accounts payable & Invoicing inbox
• Organize all invoices, statements, and other relevant documentation.
• Download invoices to Netsuite - OCR
• Download and load PAP Invoices into accounting system
• Respond to general inquiries
• Handout Cheques printed & file stubs
• Reconcile vendor statements and send to AP Manager for review
• Upload Rent & Landowner Payment into Netsuite
• Verify Address and Banking changes with Vendors by email / phone.
• Support other Finance team members with the month-end close and other ad-hoc projects.
• Apply payments made by wire and attach corresponding communication, under vendor account
• Other responsibilities may be assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• College diploma in accounting and related courses is preferred.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel.
• Knowledge of Adobe
• Knowledge of Netsuite is an asset.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to timely identify and problem solve
• Attention to details and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Sense of organization, discipline, and task prioritization.
• Ability to work with multiple entities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Hourly pay: $25.00 CAD + 4% vacation pay.
