Founding CEO - Independent Canadian Wealth Manager

Foundry Wealth is building a modern, independent Canadian wealth-management firm that brings financial planning, investments, tax and estate coordination together through one firm.

Foundry's vision is to build Canada's best human-powered and technology-enabled wealth manager: real advisors and real relationships at the front, with an AI-enabled operating model handling the busywork behind them.

Foundry will combine organic advisor and client growth with the acquisition and succession of high-quality advisory practices. We are well-funded and looking for a founding CEO to build the company from the ground up.

This is a genuine zero-to-one seat. Working alongside the firm’s investment partner, you will:

• Define the strategy, operating model and client proposition
• Build the founding team across advice, investments, operations and compliance
• Establish the regulatory, technology and service infrastructure
• Source, structure and integrate advisor practices, books and succession transactions
• Develop an organic client-acquisition engine
• Own the P&L, culture and execution of the business

Who you are

• Experience in Canadian wealth management, asset management or financial services
• Strong commercial judgment and an understanding of advisor and client economics
• The ability to attract talent, build trusted relationships and execute with limited infrastructure
• An entrepreneurial mindset, high ownership and comfort operating from a blank page
• Hands-on exposure to M&A, corporate development, advisor recruitment or practice acquisitions is preferred
