Project Coordinator/Estimator

GNB Contracting is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Coordinator / Estimator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have experience working with General Contractors, Condominium Corporations, Property Management Companies, Insurance Adjusters, and Restoration Professionals throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

This role combines estimating, project coordination, client communication, and administrative support for restoration and construction projects, with a strong focus on water damage, fire damage, emergency restoration, and condominium repair work.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Tendering

• Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for restoration and construction projects.
• Utilize Xactimate software to prepare insurance-related estimates for water, fire, smoke, mold, and emergency losses.
• Review drawings, specifications, consultant reports, and scope documents.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather information required for estimating.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Project Coordination

• Assist Project Managers with scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
• Maintain project files, correspondence, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
• Coordinate site access, notices, and communication with property managers, condominium boards, and residents.
• Track project schedules, costs, and progress to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate emergency response projects involving water, fire, smoke, mold, and environmental damage.
• Review moisture reports, drying logs, hygienist reports, and restoration documentation.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, consultants, and property owners throughout the claims process.
• Assist with scope development for restoration and reconstruction projects.

Client Relations

• Maintain strong relationships with condominium property managers, consultants, engineers, insurance professionals, and clients.
• Attend project meetings and site inspections.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide regular project updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating and/or project coordination.
• Experience working for a General Contractor, Restoration Contractor, or Construction Management firm.
• Experience with condominium construction and restoration projects within the GTA.
• Proven experience estimating and coordinating water damage, fire damage, smoke damage, and emergency restoration projects.
• Strong understanding of insurance restoration procedures and documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor when dealing with clients, residents, consultants, and subcontractors.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
