Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Hardware Engineer role based in Markham, ON. The Senior Hardware Engineer will lead the design, development, and validation of complex hardware systems, from concept through production.

Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing circuit designs and schematics, selecting components, and collaborating on system architecture with firmware, software, and mechanical teams. The role involves building and testing prototypes, performing debugging and root-cause analysis, and optimizing designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.

The Senior Hardware Engineer will also prepare technical documentation, support compliance and certification activities, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Hardware Development and Computer Hardware, with experience in end-to-end product design and lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Circuit Design and Electronics Hardware Design, including schematic capture and PCB design tools.
• Solid understanding of general Hardware principles, signal integrity, power management, and embedded systems interfaces.
• Experience with hardware testing, validation, and debugging using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leading hardware projects, collaborating in cross-functional teams, and mentoring other engineers.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to electronic hardware products.
• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to document designs and test results clearly.
