Data Management Analyst

Role : Business Analyst

Duration: Contract – 12 Months

Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support data management, governance, and regulatory initiatives. The ideal candidate will work with stakeholders to identify data gaps, improve compliance processes, and support data retention and disposition activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide data management and governance support.
• Support data retention and disposition remediation activities.
• Ensure data practices align with enterprise standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform data analysis and prepare reports using Excel.
• Document data management requirements, procedures, risks, and issues.
• Support data asset identification, inventory, and cataloguing.
• Execute data disposition activities and maintain supporting evidence.
• Identify and escalate project risks and issues.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and project teams.
• Manage deliverables independently while maintaining strong communication.

Required Skills

• Experience with governance processes.
• Strong Confluence skills.
• Project experience including timeline tracking and risk identification.
• Data analysis and Excel reporting experience.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in financial services or banking.
• Knowledge of data management, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting data governance initiatives.
