Are you caring and compassionate, wanting to work in the innovative field of cancer nursing, providing excellent quality care for cancer patients during treatments, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy and also for those patients at end of life. The 24 bedded Ribblesdale Ward provides inpatient care for cancer and haematology patients.
As a cancer nurse you will have access to training and education as well as the support of a fantastic, dedicated team. The opportunities for a cancer nurse are wide ranging and our career pathways branch out into many other areas setting you off on a rewarding career.
We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic staff with excellent communication skills to join our already established teams but also to lead and develop new services and ways of working as our Oncology teams grasp this opportunity to influence, shape and develop the changing face of cancer care and service provision at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
This is a fixed term contract.
The contract will end March 2027.
Main duties of the job
What we do:o Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other related cancer treatments.
o Palliative care including complex symptom management at end of life.
