activities are optimised and delivered in a professional, safe and efficient

We are

seeking an exceptional highly motivated Senior Procurement Manager who can

significantly contribute to the positive reputation of our business. The role

will work across the Health, Construction and Estates, Business Services and

Digital and IT categories. You will be responsible for developing and

delivering procurement strategies in complex supply markets working with and on

behalf of our customers.

This is a hybrid variable role requiring office presence in Salford

once a month plus possibly attending customer sites as required.

What you will be doing

Leads complex and high value procurement process (legal process, market engagement, scoping, briefing, tendering, selection, evaluation, contract negotiation and management of suppliers)
Provides high quality customer focused procurement and service design advice to external customers
Creates and maintains positive, collaborative and supportive professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers, as well as actively generating and building relationships with new customers
Be regarded as a trusted advisor to the customer’s senior team
Acts a senior point of advice for internal staff in terms of the commercial and assignment management aspects of project delivery
Actively generates opportunities for future work through the ongoing development of professional networks of contacts across the NHS and wider public sector
Horizon scan in order to identify development and new opportunities for new and existing customers
Be an expert in the NHS and its strategic goals and policy drivers
Support the team in the delivery of projects,

acting as both a leader and a supporter

What you’ll bring

Significant relevant industry experience in delivering procurement solutions
Ability to partner and influence internal and external stakeholders in a project management environment
Public sector experience is essential
Public procurement regulations knowledge
Developing strategy to procurement delivery
CIPS L4 or above studier or equivalent procurement management experience

It would be great if you had

Programme Management Professional Qualifications (e.g. Agile, Prince2 or equivalent)
