Essential Functions

• Prepare the classroom environment
• Manage the flow of the classroom
• Support children in their resolution of conflicts and concerns
• Be a role model for children in speech, tone, demeanour, and actions
• Serve as a record keeper of the work children are engaged in and children’s social interactions
• Supervise during off-campus field trips.
• Supervise lunch
• Support dismissal
• Assist with cleaning the classroom
• Assist with toileting emergencies
• Supervise outdoor recess in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and a wide range of temperatures

POSITION DETAILS

This is a full-time position during the academic year (end of August through June). Afterschool, March Break, and summer opportunities are also available. Salary is based on education and teaching experience.

Required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Pass a VS background check
• Have previous experience with children (2 years)
• University Level Degree

Preferred

• MACTE Casa or Lower Elementary Diploma

Salary

• Based Education and Teaching Experience – $40,000 - $55,000.
