Position Vacancy : Employee Health & Wellness Services
Position : Temporary Full Time Registered Nurse, Until Approximately July 23, 2027
Posting Period : July 23, 2026 – July 30, 2026
Hours of Work : Monday to Friday, Days, with some flexibility required;8 hour shifts; may include occasional evening and weekends hours
Location: WRHN @ Midtown (formerly Grand River Hospital, KW Campus)
Reporting to the Manager, Employee Health, Safety and Wellness, the RN will be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on the implementation and administration of Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
This role will also be responsible for assisting with various occupational health duties including; conducting new employee pre-placement health reviews, audits, immunizations, providing first aid, handling scheduled and unscheduled health office appointments, carrying out medical surveillance, responding to telephone and email inquiries, etc.
In addition, it is a highly visible role that supports the expansion and development of services that promote the health and wellbeing of our team members at Waterloo Regional Health Network.
This role is intended to assist with employee incident follow up, management of potential infectious disease exposures, as well as outbreak management.
The incumbent will need to collaborate with department managers, directors, Human Resources, unions, medical practitioners, WSIB, and other community organizations to administer and resolve situations related to employee illness, modified work and onboarding requirements to WRHN. In addition, providing small group education and larger presentations for clinical teams and broader groups may be required in response to changing PPE requirements, health topics, and Employee Health, Safety and Wellness policies.
You must have the capability to lead yourself, engage others, and achieve results, as well as manage in a busy work environment.
Current RN certificate of competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
