URGENT HIRE: Private Chef- Specialising in Healthy Southern Food

Private Chef Opportunity – Healthy Southern Cuisine | Coral Gables, Miami

Full time Monday-Friday for 2-3 months, with the possibility of an extension.

We are seeking an exceptional Private Chef for a private residence in the Coral Gables area of Miami. The ideal candidate is passionate about Southern cuisine and has the culinary skill to reimagine its bold, comforting flavors through a health-conscious lens, without compromising authenticity or satisfaction.

This role is best suited for someone who understands that food is deeply personal, tied to memory, identity, and pride, and who can approach their work with discretion, warmth, and emotional intelligence. The clients are highly accomplished and independent who value tradition and quality but are now seeking someone who can elevate everyday meals with subtle, health-forward modifications.

This role is an opportunity for a chef looking to jump out of the fast lane while still being challenged by the different requirements of this household. The ideal candidate is creative, flexible, discreet and experienced.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve fresh, nutritionally balanced Southern meals. Flavor-forward, familiar, yet lighter takes on traditional dishes.
• Plan weekly menus based on client preferences, seasonal ingredients, and dietary considerations.
• Grocery shopping, pantry management, and sourcing of top-quality local ingredients.
• Maintain a spotless, organized, and efficient kitchen.
• Occasional entertaining support for small dinners or informal gatherings.
• Maintain full confidentiality and uphold a professional, respectful presence in the home.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a private/personal chef, preferably in high-net-worth households or with discerning clientele.
• Culinary training preferred; however, extensive hands-on experience with Southern cuisine is essential.
• Deep knowledge of healthy cooking techniques, substitutions, and ingredient sourcing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to cook with both heart and precision.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to be present and available without being intrusive.
• MUST live within a 40-minute commute of Coral Gables and be available Monday through Friday (lunch and dinner service, with occasional flexibility).

Compensation
