Responsibilities

Position Description

This role forms part of JERA's growing North American Gas Trading business, which is expected to transition onto JERAGM's trading platform. This business is wholly owned by JERA Co., Inc. and will focus on US natural gas trading, optimisation and market development across North America. Successful candidates will join during the build-out phase ahead of the business's planned operational launch.

Overall responsibilities to Settlements, Treasury and Accounting activities in JERAGM in Houston office

Key Role Responsibilities

• Financial oversight and close governance:
• Oversee and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review key journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Collaborate across the business to ensure both statutory and group requirements are met.
• Treasury and Cash management
• Control, compliance and risk management:
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and group policies.
• Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation measures
• Design & execute the future-state operating model for JERAGM North America finance and treasury functions, ensuring alignment with Group standards, governance and strategic direction.

Note that in addition to these duties employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications and Experience

• At least 15 year experience in US Gas industry with relevant experience in Accounting, Settlements and/or Treasury
• Strong leadership with hands-on execution capability
• High Level of ownership, accountability and attention to detail
• Strategic thinking with strong operational discipline
