As we accelerate that effort, we are building a finance and operations team equipped to evaluate, model, and execute on acquisition opportunities at scale.

About the Role

We are seeking a sharp, analytically driven Investment Analyst to support PsychPlus's acquisition strategy across clinics, provider groups, and technology platforms. This role will serve as a key driver of our inorganic growth efforts, leading the financial modeling and analysis that informs acquisition decisions from initial evaluation through close.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance and Operations, this person will spearhead the modeling and due diligence process, working cross-functionally to assess targets, structure deals, and support integration planning. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and brings strong financial acumen paired with operational curiosity.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions of clinics, provider groups, and platforms, including revenue forecasts, cost structures, and return analyses
• Lead the analytical workstream of the acquisition pipeline from target identification and screening through valuation and deal structuring
• Conduct due diligence by gathering, organizing, and analyzing financial, operational, and clinical data from acquisition targets
• Develop and maintain a structured acquisition tracker covering pipeline status, key milestones, deal terms, and integration timelines
• Partner with legal, clinical, and operations teams to assess risks, synergies, and integration requirements for each target
• Prepare clear, concise presentations and memos for leadership summarizing deal rationale, financial impact, and strategic fit
• Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and expansion opportunities across the U.S. mental health landscape
• Follow up consistently across internal and external stakeholders to keep deals moving and flag risks early
• Communicate updates, gaps, and recommendations to the VP of Finance and Operations and broader leadership team

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in financial analysis, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a related acquisitions-oriented role
• Strong financial modeling skills with demonstrated experience building DCFs, LBO models, or comparable transaction analyses
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets at an advanced level
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active deals simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Availability to work full-time during U.S. Central Time (Houston time)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare M&A, particularly involving clinics, physician groups, or health tech platforms
• Familiarity with U.S. healthcare operations and integration
• Exposure to due diligence processes and deal execution
• Experience working cross-functionally with legal, operations, and clinical teams
• Background in or passion for mental health or behavioral health
