Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service as a cashier and barista
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
• Operate POS systems for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing tills at shift end
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks and restocking supplies to support smooth café operations

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service, with strong coffee-making skills preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems for sales transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food industry setting
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
