Position Summary

Dynamic Glass is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Glazing Estimator with Tenant Improvement (TI) experience to join our Preconstruction team. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial glazing projects while supporting the entire bidding process from invitation through project turnover.

This role requires a thorough understanding of commercial glazing systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality work that contributes to the company's continued success.

Essential Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete and accurate project estimates.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for storefronts, curtain walls, window wall systems, entrances, mirrors, glass railings, specialty glass, and other architectural glazing systems.
• Solicit, analyze, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare competitive bid proposals, scope letters, qualifications, and cost breakdowns.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, job walks, and project review meetings as required.
• Coordinate project turnover with Project Management and Operations after successful bid award.
• Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and historical cost information.
• Review contract documents to ensure awarded scope aligns with the estimate.
• Prepare pricing for change orders and additional work as needed.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with general contractors, architects, suppliers, and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial glazing estimating experience.
• Tenant Improvement (TI) estimating experience required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial storefront, curtain wall, entrances, windows, glass, aluminum systems, and related glazing products.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Bluebeam Revu, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), or comparable estimating software.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista, Procore, or similar construction management software.
• Previous experience working for a commercial glazing contractor.
• Familiarity with the Houston commercial construction market is preferred.
