Shop Foreman / Production Manager – Cast Stone / Precast Concrete – $70K–$105K+

We are hiring a hands-on Shop Foreman / Production Manager to lead our cast stone production operation in Houston. This is a key leadership role for someone who knows how to run a busy manufacturing shop, manage skilled and semi-skilled workers, organize production, solve problems, and make sure high-quality stone gets produced and shipped on time.

This role oversees the full production flow: mold shop, mold readiness, tamping/casting, curing, demolding, patching/finishing, quality control, packing, and shipping.

The right person is organized, firm, fair, hands-on, and respected by shop employees. You do not need to sit behind a desk all day, but you must be able to create and manage a real production schedule, train workers, hold people accountable, and keep jobs moving.

What you will do

Create and manage the daily and weekly production schedule.

Review upcoming jobs, due dates, drawings, piece counts, mold status, material needs, labor needs, measure jobs, and shipping dates.

Coordinate work between mold makers, tampers, finishers, shipping employees, and management.

Make sure molds are ready before production starts.

Oversee tamping/casting, demolding, curing, finishing, repairs, labeling, packaging, and loading.

Train tampers and new production employees.

Hire production employees as needed and help build a stronger crew.

Read shop drawings, production sheets, measurements, profiles, and job details.

Track job progress and communicate delays before they become emergencies.

Improve quality, reduce rework, and prevent avoidable damage.

Inspect finished pieces for dimensions, finish, color, chips, cracks, and job readiness.

Maintain a clean, organized, safe production floor.

Work directly with ownership/management to improve production speed, quality, and accountability.

What we are looking for

Experience leading people in cast stone, precast concrete, concrete products, architectural precast, GFRC, stone fabrication, masonry, mold/form work, or similar custom manufacturing.

Strong understanding of molds, forms, casting/tamping, concrete or stone production, curing, finishing, and handling.

Ability to manage mold makers, tampers, finishers, laborers, and shipping/yard staff.

Proven ability to create and follow a production schedule.

Ability to read drawings, measurements, profiles, and job instructions.

Strong organization and follow-through.

Comfortable training employees and holding people accountable.

Able to work in a hands-on shop environment.

Quality-minded: understands that bad work, poor handling, and poor planning cost time and money.

Safety-minded: PPE, housekeeping, forklift/yard awareness, dust control, and proper handling matter.

Basic computer ability: email, Excel/Google Sheets, photos, job lists, and production tracking.

Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred but not required.

Strong pluses

Direct cast stone experience.

Dry tamp / vibratory dry tamp experience.

Wet cast experience.

Mold shop leadership.

Experience with color matching, patching, finishing, and texture consistency.

Forklift, rigging, loading, or shipping coordination experience.

Experience building a production board.

Experience hiring and training entry-level labor into skilled production workers.
