Junior Engineer (USA)

Description

AP Dynamics is looking for a talented and self-motivated Junior Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX with the possibility of the first year being remote. The Junior Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

• Perform FEA for a variety of equipment and structures including pipelines.
• Perform stress analysis and pressure vessel studies.
• Design piping systems according to ASME B31 codes.
• Apply criteria given in codes and standards in the preparation of design recommendations.
• Write detailed technical reports as required.
• Complete the assigned task according to project budget and schedule.
• Submit progress reports when required.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Follow methodologies required for the analysis and studies of the project.
• Work collaboratively with Project Mangers, multidisciplinary Project Engineers, CAD designers, and other technical disciplines as part of a combined integrated team.
• Estimate workload requirements for assigned effort.
• Work towards obtaining PE Status within 4 years and maintaining engineer status with appropriate state engineering board.
• Enhance positive client relationships, and
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of working experience.
• Registered in the US as an Engineer-in-Training is preferred.
• Proficient in Abaqus, AutoPipe, CADWorx, Caesar, and Python software is considered an asset.
• Proficient in standard Windows software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, and
• Self-motivated to further engineering skills and knowledge.
