Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead and manage complex technical projects from initiation through completion. this role will oversee large-scale technology initiatives, including the implementation and integration of intelligent transportation systems (ITS), software solutions, and traffic management projects supporting government agencies.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with proven project management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale or high-impact projects from a technical perspective
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed technical project plans, resource allocation, and performance tracking metrics.
• Proactively identify technical risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project progress, issues, and results to senior leadership, stakeholders, and customers.
• Manage and motivate project team members, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with others within the department and other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
• Master’s degree or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive technical project management experience, including leading large complex projects or multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), transportation technology, or government infrastructure experience preferred.
• Must have excellent computer skills, working knowledge of MS office. Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
• Must maintain highest level of professionalism under pressure.
• Ability to work in high paced environment and ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interact with customers and all levels of personnel in a professional manner.
• Ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States to support projects.

Physical Conditions / Requirements

• No unusual physical requirements. It requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is done in a comfortable indoor facility.
• Occasional – Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
• Job frequently requires sitting and handling objects with hands.
• Job occasionally requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Hearing requirements: Ability to hear people over the telephone and in person.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

$120k - $140k per year, depending on experience
