As part of our commitment to culinary excellence, our pastry program is a key feature, and we are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Pastry Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

Position Overview

The Pastry Sous Chef will collaborate closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to execute and oversee the production of all pastry items, including desserts, breads, and confections. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment that celebrates creativity, precision, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in the preparation, production, and execution of the pastry menu and all bread & bakery.
• Ensure the highest quality in the preparation and presentation of all pastry items, from plated desserts to house-made breads.
• Lead, supervise, and train the cold station & plating team to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes and plating guidelines.
• Collaborate on seasonal menu development, bringing creative ideas for new desserts, breads, and confections.
• Manage inventory and sourcing of ingredients, maintaining par levels and ensuring the freshest, highest quality products.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
• Assist in the execution of pastry offerings for special events, holidays, and private dining experiences.
• Foster a positive and team-oriented environment in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of pastry experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments.
• Strong proficiency in classic and modern pastry techniques, including chocolate, sugar work, and bread making.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a team in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in plating and presentation.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Passion for innovation and dedication to creating memorable guest experiences through pastry.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
