Bartender (2+ YRS EXP REQ)

The new Havana Grill Kitchen & Bar at the Westfield Mission Valley Shopping Center is looking for skilled, friendly and outgoing bartenders.

MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EVENING AND WEEKEND SHIFTS from 4pm-10pm at least 2 to 3 days per week. Please do not apply if you do not have evening or weekend availability OR if you have less than 2 years of bartending experience. Must be able to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Interaction & Service

• Greet every guest with a cheerful and welcoming attitude as they enter.
• Provide attentive and full-service hospitality at the bar, including making tailored food and cocktail recommendations.
• Master our signature cocktail program to deliver consistent, high-quality drinks that delight guests.

2. Bar Operations

• Maintain the bar's cleanliness, organization, and adherence to established bar procedures.
• Ensure bar equipment and tools are properly cared for and ready for use.
• Act as the main point of contact during your shift to address any operational concerns.

3. Inventory Management

• Monitor the inventory of spirits, mixers, and bar supplies to avoid shortages.
• Place orders with vendors for spirits and other bar necessities, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a bartender, with a strong understanding of mixology and bar operations.
• Previous leadership or managerial experience in a bar or restaurant setting is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for hospitality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

All bartenders share in a a generous tip pool

We are looking to fill this position ASAP so please do not respond unless you are serious about working, are available 25-40 hours per week, and can start working immediately.

You must be a great team player, willing to pick up shifts on short notice, and take direction well.

You must have your own transportation as well as a personal cell phone/email address with access to it on a regular basis.

• You must have current Food Handler’s Card or be willing to get one.
• You must be 21 or older since you will be handling and serving alcohol

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
