Junior Sales Representative – Embedded & Camera Solutions

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Sales Representative based in California to support our embedded systems and camera/imaging product line. This role is customer-facing: you will reach out to accounts assigned by the company, build relationships, and make sure every commitment made to a customer is tracked and closed out.

A technical background in embedded systems and/or camera technology will help you speak credibly with engineering-minded customers, even though this is a sales – not an engineering – role.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact and engage customers assigned by the company, following the outreach plan and priorities set by management.
• Understand each customer's needs regarding embedded and camera/imaging products, and represent those needs internally.
• Track all action points arising from customer calls, meetings, and emails, and follow up until each item is resolved.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of customer interactions, open items, and next steps in the CRM system.
• Coordinate with engineering, product, and support teams to get timely answers and resolutions for customers.
• Provide regular status updates and reports to the sales manager on account activity and follow-up progress.
• Support quoting, sample requests, and basic technical questions related to embedded and camera products.
• Identify and flag new opportunities or risks within assigned accounts.
• Travel within California (and occasionally beyond) for customer visits as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field – or equivalent practical experience.
• Exposure to embedded systems (microcontrollers, firmware, hardware/software integration) through coursework, internship, or work experience.
• Familiarity with camera/imaging technology (image sensors, camera modules, ISP, or related products).
• 0–2 years of experience in a sales, technical sales, or customer-facing engineering role; recent graduates with relevant technical exposure are welcome to apply.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Highly organized, with the discipline to track and close out follow-up items without things falling through the cracks.
• Based in California, or willing to relocate; valid driver's license for customer travel.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a Field Applications Engineer (FAE), technical sales, or sales engineering role.
• Direct experience with camera module suppliers, image sensor vendors, or embedded SoC platforms.
• Existing network of contacts in the embedded or camera/imaging industry in California.
