Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Consultant to join our team and lead the design and enhancement of applications for kiosk interfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating intuitive and engaging user experiences for kiosk platforms, ensuring seamless interaction and accessibility for a diverse range of users.

This role requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of user behavior to deliver outstanding kiosk applications that meet both business objectives and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

• User Research and Analysis:
• Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of kiosk users.
• Analyze user feedback and data to inform design decisions and improve user experience.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, and usability testing plans specific to kiosk interactions.
• UI/UX Design:
• Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for kiosk applications, considering the unique challenges and opportunities of kiosk environments.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate design ideas and user flows.
• Ensure designs are accessible and comply with relevant accessibility standards and guidelines.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the design vision is effectively implemented and aligns with business goals.
• Present design concepts and rationales to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and iterating as necessary.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure technical feasibility and smooth implementation of designs.
• Usability Testing and Iteration:
• Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback on kiosk interfaces.
• Analyze test results and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Iterate on designs based on usability testing outcomes and evolving user needs.
• Industry Trends and Best Practices:
• Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in UI/UX design, particularly for kiosk applications.
• Apply industry standards and innovative design techniques to enhance the overall user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a UI/UX Designer, with a significant focus on designing for kiosk applications.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design projects, specifically highlighting kiosk interfaces and user interactions.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.
• Experience working on projects involving interactive displays, touchscreens, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of the technical aspects of kiosk hardware and software integration.
• Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
