Junior Engineer - Civil (Junior Engineer - Geologist)

TRANSFER OPPORTUNITY NOTICE: This is a transfer opportunity. To be eligible, you must be a current City of San Diego employee at the time of application and throughout the transfer process.

An employee may transfer only to jobs which are paid the same or less at E step than the E step of the employee’s present job. Refer to Personnel Manual Index Code E-7 for information and eligibility requirements.

You must meet the current minimum requirements for the job. You may be required to present additional information to determine your eligibility to transfer to a different job.

If approved, your name will remain on the transfer list for one (1) year UNLESS there is a change in your eligibility for transfer. Should you leave city service, you will no longer be eligible for appointment from the transfer list. If you have any changes in employment status, you may be removed from all transfer lists and must reapply.

NOTE TO EMPLOYEE: APPROVAL OF THIS REQUEST ONLY PLACES YOUR NAME ON THE APPROPRIATE TRANSFER LIST(S). A DEPARTMENT MUST HAVE AN OFFICIAL CERTIFICATION OF REQUESTED ELIGIBLES TO EFFECT A TRANSFER.
