About the Opportunity – Accounts Receivable Specialist

Our client, a respected equipment sales and service organization, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team. This position plays a critical role in managing accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer service while supporting company cash flow objectives.

Key Responsibilities – Accounts Receivable Specialist

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
• Process and apply customer payments, wire transfers, ACH transactions, and checks.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due balances.
• Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment arrangements.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and account issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate account records.
• Collaborate with sales, service, and accounting teams to resolve invoicing concerns.
• Prepare AR reports and provide updates on collection activities.
• Assist with month-end closing processes and audit preparation.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Qualifications – Accounts Receivable Specialist

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or related accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, cash application, and account reconciliation.
• Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in equipment distribution, manufacturing, construction, or industrial industries is a plus.
• Stable work history and a commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
