Cyrus Artisan Rugs is seeking a driven, design-minded Entry Sales Associate / Interior Designer to join our Bloomington showroom. This is not simply a job—it is a long-term career opportunity within a company with nearly 40 years of growth in the luxury handmade rug industry.

This role is ideal for someone early in their design or sales career who is passionate about interiors, thrives in a client-facing environment, and is motivated to build lasting relationships within the interior design and architecture community.

You will work directly with retail clients, interior designers, and architects—guiding them through a highly consultative sales process centered around craftsmanship, design, and customization. Over time, a key expectation is your ability to develop and expand designer relationships locally and nationally, contributing meaningfully to showroom growth.

Key Responsibilities

.Assist clients in selecting high-end handmade rugs through a consultative sales approach

.Build and nurture relationships with interior designers, architects, and repeat clientele

.Generate and send client quotes, proposals, and follow-ups in a timely, professional manner

.Respond to e-commerce and online inquiries with accuracy and attention to detail

.Maintain organized client records and track project progress

.Support showroom operations, including merchandising and sample coordination

.Participate in client meetings and gradually take ownership of projects and accounts

.Uphold a polished, luxury-level client experience at all times

Additional Requirements

.Ability to lift and move rugs weighing 70 lbs or more when needed

.Previous experience in interior design, luxury retail, hospitality, or similar client-facing industries is welcomed but not required

Compensation & Benefits
$50,000 – $100,000 total compensation (salary + commission)
$60,000 guaranteed draw against commission
Base salary determined by experience and qualifications
2 weeks paid vacation
