Closing Line Cook

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable, motivated Closing Line Cook to join our back-of-house team.

This position is a consistent four-day schedule

Saturday | Sunday | Monday | Tuesday

4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

You’ll work alongside an experienced kitchen team preparing scratch-made food in a fast-paced downtown Minneapolis restaurant. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their station, works clean, communicates well, and understands that closing the kitchen correctly is just as important as getting through the rush.

Responsibilities

Line Execution

• Prepare and cook menu items consistently according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain speed without sacrificing quality.
• Properly stock and maintain your station throughout service.
• Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth ticket flow.

Closing Responsibilities

• Complete all closing side work and cleaning assignments.
• Break down, clean, and sanitize your station.
• Properly label, rotate, and store food using FIFO procedures.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and ready for the next day’s service.

Food Safety

• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout the shift.
• Monitor product quality and immediately communicate any concerns.

Teamwork

• Support fellow cooks during busy service.
• Assist with prep and stocking when business allows.
• Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Be dependable, punctual, and ready to work every scheduled shift.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook experience preferred.
• Experience in high-volume kitchens is a plus.
• Knowledge of grilling, sauté, fryer, and oven stations preferred.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation for late-night shifts.
• Weekend availability required.
