Position Overview

This Mechanical Engineer Intern position will assist Mechanical Engineers in daily activities including mechanical system design, load calculations, equipment selection, client meetings, and construction observation. Through hands-on mentorship and real-world project involvement, the intern will gain valuable technical and professional experience.

Compensation

Hourly range for new hires is $21-$23/hour based on location.

Key Responsibilities

• Correctly complete load calculations and select equipment for specific projects.
• Occasionally attend construction meetings and provide technical observation reports.
• Interact professionally with the mechanical team, other disciplines, and clients as required.
• Develop and maintain a balanced schedule to ensure projects meet deadlines.
• Seek mentorship and support to guarantee successful design outcomes and project completion.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Junior or Senior status is preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate attentive listening skills.
• A strong desire to produce quality work and grow professionally in the engineering field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high levels of integrity and ethical standards.
