Trade Compliance Specialist

HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for daily operational execution of the company's trade

compliance programs, policies, and internal audits while ensuring compliance with U.S. import and

export regulations

This is a hybrid position based near NW suburbs of Minneapolis, MN.

EXPECTATIONS

• Provide daily operational support for trade compliance including HTS/ECCN classification, country

of origin, FTA qualification, documentation, and ISF filings

• Assist cross functional teams on logistics and compliance synergies to reduce cost & risk
• Conduct internal and external audits and implement corrective actions
• Research and recommend compliance solutions to reduce cost and mitigate regulatory risk
• Serve as the primary contact with Customs Brokers
• Monitor service provider performance and participate in quarterly supplier business reviews
• Provide landed cost details as requested
• Support Anti-Dumping/Countervailing, export licenses, duty drawback, and special government

programs

ESSENTIALS

• 5+ years of trade compliance experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience with HTS/ECCN classification, country of origin determination, valuation & FTA
• Working knowledge of U.S. Customs & EAR regulations
• Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail and analytic mindset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
