Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
The Mechanical Engineering Department is hiring two positions for the two work schedules below:
12:00 pm – 9:00 pm; Monday – Friday
or
3:00 pm – 9:00 pm; Monday – Friday and 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Saturday
Primary Purpose of Position
This position serves as a Research Operations Manager – with responsibility for the oversight and maintenance of safe operations within the Mechanical Engineering machine shop. Work responsibilities include student supervision, training, and assistance, as well as all appropriate or necessary equipment maintenance, modernization, and upgrades. May also provide support and guidance to students and faculty on projects.
Maintains environmental safety and regulatory compliance with all Federal, State, and University guidelines and standards.
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of general research experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
