Senior Project Estimator - Glass & Mirror

Overview

As a Senior Project Estimator at Glass & Mirror, Inc., you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of various commercial glazing projects, from initial bid to final proposal. You will play a crucial role in securing new business and ensuring the profitability of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial glass installations.
• Conduct site visits to gather necessary information and assess project requirements.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and labor.
• Capture, grow, and nurture professional Commercial General Contractor relationships at a high level.
• Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to perform take-offs and develop detailed cost breakdowns.
• Prepare and present clear and concise proposals to clients.
• Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to ensure accurate project execution.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data and pricing information.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, materials, and labor costs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience of 4+ years as a Project Estimator in the construction or glass industry.
• Strong knowledge of glazing products, fabrication processes and installation techniques.
• Proficient in using estimating software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
