The Employee Benefits IT organization is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join our team and help drive the evolution of our cloud-native platforms, automation capabilities, and software delivery pipelines. This role will play a critical part in accelerating application delivery, improving operational excellence, and enabling engineering teams through modern DevOps practices.
You will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in AWS Cloud, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, containerization, and observability tools while working across the entire software delivery lifecycle. The team is seeking a motivated, results-oriented individual with strong DevOps engineering and cloud platform experience. The ideal candidate will partner with Software Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and Infrastructure teams to build and maintain cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, monitoring capabilities, and engineering productivity solutions.
This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting DevOps capabilities across development, testing, and production environments while ensuring security, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field plus three (3) years of post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps engineering, or a related role.
This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees.
Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$96,800 - $145,200
