Azure Cloud Engineer- Onsite in Charlotte, NC- Direct Hire

Optomi, in partnership with a client, is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to join their team. This person will take ownership of the Azure and Microsoft infrastructure to drive decisions, set up new tools, secure infrastructure and improve network functions and connectivity. This is a full-time direct hire role onsite 5/week in Charlotte, NC area.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support enterprise Azure cloud infrastructure across multiple regions.
• Develop secure networking solutions including Private Endpoints, VNets, NSGs, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Build and standardize cloud infrastructure instead of one-off solutions, creating scalable and repeatable architectures.
• Support integrations between Azure services, APIs, and enterprise platforms including Databricks and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Implement secure authentication and secrets management using Azure Key Vault and private endpoint connectivity.
• Partner with infrastructure and application teams to improve cloud architecture, security, and operational excellence.

• Experience being in a Microsoft ecosystem establishing infrastructure and standards with various services like Entra ID, Defender, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Power Shell, etc.
• Any kind of cloud networking experience in Azure- VNets, Express Route, ARM templates, site to site tunnels, etc.
• Ability to work fully onsite role in Charlotte, NC area
• Experience communicating across a small-mid size organization with various stakeholders, business units, and IT departments
