Senior User Experience Designer

The Senior UX Designer is accountable to lead and support the tactical direction and holistic design work output and deliverables associated with assigned projects. The Senior UX Designer is typically responsible for leading multiple projects within a singular track of work within a platform / suite of products.

The Senior UX Designer is an expert in graphic design and interface design and is responsible for the delivery and output of quality and timely UX design deliverables including wireframes, supporting visuals, prototypes and pixel perfect comps.

The Senior UX Architect should have a general knowledge of external processes and technologies, both standard and unique to Lowe's including the work processes, technologies, platforms and services of our business and IT capabilities.

The Senior UX Designer will work with a team of other Architects, Designers, Prototypers and Content Developers to deliver projects in a timely and efficient manner, consistent with the process and standards set in place both internally and externally across the business.

This role works cross-functionally across both Lowe's Digital, engaging with other Contributors, Managers, Directors, as well as across the enterprise- ensuring key relationships are fostered across our Omni-channel partners. Additionally, this role is a peer leader across the other contributors of the Digital Experience + Design team.

Responsibility Statements

• Produce High-Quality Design Artifacts.
• Build and deliver consistent high-quality design artifacts including wireframes, concept sketches, pixel-perfect design comps, presentations and documentation.
• Comprehend complex business requirements and user stories.
• Produce, review, critique and influence the direction of the Design deliverables and direction of various projects across multiple platforms / suite of products.
• Work cross-functionally with other managers and lead to ensure the quality and consistency of the work.
• Stay on top of digital trends, emerging technologies and new tools to continually improve the team’s position as experts in usability.
• Produce and deliver the design deliverables within multiple projects within a platform.
• Drive the tactical direction of the design experience on a project-by-project basis.
• Develop the presentation and delivery method to convey intent and obtain approval from stakeholders and business partners.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Communications, Computer Science, English, Business, or related fields
• 3-7 years freelance / industry experience
• 5-10 years’ experience in design or user experience
• 5-10 years’ experience in Adobe Suite

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Experience in agile work environment
• Process development
