Barista - Morning Shift

We are looking for a dedicated and customer focused Barista to join our team at Fresh Monkee in Ballantyne. Candidates need to be able to work our morning shift, helping to open the store at 6:45am. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving a variety of protein shakes, healthy smoothies and beverage options.

As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of food and drink offerings in our café environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a great attitude, enjoy working with people and deliver outstanding customer experiences. This is a great role for someone looking for 3-5 shifts per week, students with a flexible schedule are welcome to apply. Experience as a barista is not required, paid training is provided!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve protein shakes, healthy smoothies and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines to ensure quality standards are met.
• Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders efficiently while offering recommendations based on their preferences.
• Stay knowledgeable about menu items and current promotions to effectively assist customers.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage cash handling and POS transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the quick serve restaurant environment.
