Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead and elevate our culinary operation. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate leader to make their mark by shaping the culinary vision, mentoring a talented team, and creating exceptional dining experiences across both à la carte and banquet operations.

The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including menu development, food quality, purchasing, inventory management, labor and cost controls, and team leadership. Success in this role requires a balance of creativity and operational excellence, with a commitment to delivering consistently outstanding cuisine while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, preparation, and execution of all a la carte and private dining services.
• Create innovative and seasonal menus that balance quality, guest satisfaction, and cost management.
• Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including ordering, inventory control, and vendor relationships.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with the management team to support guest satisfaction and property goals.
• Train, mentor, and manage a small culinary team to ensure a cohesive and high-performing kitchen.
• Monitor and control kitchen expenses to align with financial projections.
• Maintain and ensure the upkeep of kitchen equipment in collaboration with property maintenance.
• Adapt quickly to guest feedback and operational needs to provide a personalized culinary experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a boutique or small-scale luxury environment; hotel experience is a plus not a must.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work creatively within budgetary constraints.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and inspire a small, close-knit team.
• Exceptional cooking skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
• Proven expertise in menu development, food costing, and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations; Food Safety Certification required.
• Proficient in basic technology, including POS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to the needs of a boutique property.
