Job Summary

Velvet is looking for motivated people that have a passion for tea and handcrafted ice cream. We’re looking for fun individuals who take pride in quality, service, art, atmosphere and want to grow with a company that focuses on a team environment. As a Boba Tea & Rolled Ice Cream Maker, you will be essential in crafting delicious beverages and desserts while delivering outstanding customer service.

Reporting to the store manager, your core skills in POS operation, food safety, and serving will ensure a seamless customer experience. Your premium skills in time management and sales will enhance product promotion and efficiency. Additionally, your relevant experience in food preparation and handling will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Duties

• At Velvet our employees are the most valuable assets to our business and to the brand. We are looking for hard-working individuals to join our journey. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must and required.
• Greeting and providing superb service to our patrons and your team.
• Prepare the store for opening and perform daily store closing duties.
• Demonstrating proficiency in Velvet recipes while retaining a drive for quality
• Deliver fast, friendly, excellent customer service.
• Prepare Boba, Ice-Cream base and syrups for store operation.
• Make the best rolled ice cream, Boba Tea, Milkshakes and other drinks.
• Operate POS system.
• Following our operational Policies and Procedures, safety and security.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment which may include cleaning tasks such as: cleaning equipment, mopping, dish washing and taking out the trash etc.
• Stay informed about new products, promotions, and menu items to assist in sales efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent background.
• 1-2 years of experience in customer service.
• Basic retention of knowledge and studying skills.
• Background in the café or food industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is a plus.
