Corning is one of the world’s leading innovators in glass, ceramic, and materials science. They are seeking a Chief Enterprise Architect to modernize Enterprise Architecture into a product-centric capability that enhances business agility and aligns technology across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead Corning’s Enterprise Architecture vision, principles, and operating model
- Build and evolve a modern EA practice focused on speed, agility, and business value
- Partner with product, platform, and data leaders to support Corning’s transition to a product operating model
- Establish enterprise patterns, guardrails, and reference architectures to improve integration and reduce friction
- Help scale AI, data, and platform capabilities across the organization
- Collaborate with InfoSec, Legal, and technology leaders to embed governance, security, and compliance into architecture
- Lead and mentor a federated architecture community across solution, platform, and data architecture
Skills
- 15+ years of enterprise architecture or related technical leadership experience
- 5+ years in a senior architecture leadership role
- Experience transforming Enterprise Architecture from a traditional centralized model to a federated, product-aligned approach
- Strong expertise in enterprise data architecture, AI/ML, GenAI, Agentic AI, and LLMs
- Proven ability to influence across business and technology leadership in a complex global organization
- Experience building enterprise standards, governance models, and architectural guardrails
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, R&D, or materials science environments
- Cloud platform expertise across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Background leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with product management frameworks and product-centric operating models
