What You Will Do
- As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering complex projects from planning through execution:
- Project Delivery and Controls
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and manpower forecasts
- Monitor financial performance, cash flow, and cost efficiency
- Establish and track labor productivity metrics
- Lead change order pricing, tracking, and resolution
- Technical and Engineering Leadership
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and specifications
- Resolve complex installation and design challenges with practical, innovative solutions
- Manage design development logs and compliance matrices
- Project Execution
- Oversee daily operations of a project or major workstream
- Coordinate across engineering teams, field operations, and subcontractors
- Support field inspections and productivity tracking
- Documentation and Closeout
- Maintain accurate as-built records and technical documentation
- Prepare material specifications, invoices, and operations and maintenance manuals
- Lead project closeout, punch lists, and commissioning readiness
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities
- Support project reviews and performance improvements
- Contribute to project kickoff and planning processes
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ABET preferred, with 5+ years of Project Engineer experience or
- Master's degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting large-scale construction, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects preferred
- Strong understanding of project controls, engineering standards, and field execution
- Ability to solve complex problems and think strategically
- Core Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical thinking and practical problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable with extended periods of computer-based work and site coordination
