As the DGS Senior Contract and Procurement Manager, you will manage complex procurement activities, oversee contract development and administration, and support strategic purchasing initiatives for the Department of General Services (DGS). Working closely with the Central Procurement Office (CPO), departmental leaders, Fiscal Services, and suppliers, you will help ensure procurements are completed efficiently, contracts remain compliant, and purchasing activities support the Department’s operational objectives.
This position serves as a senior procurement resource, providing guidance on procurement processes, contract administration, and purchasing best practices across the Department.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, sound judgment, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance with State procurement policies. This position is part of the Office of Administrative Services within the Administrative & Fiscal Services division and reports to the DGS Procurement Director.

The Department of General Services for the State of Tennessee is looking for an experienced procurement professional to join our team as a DGS Senior Contract and Procurement Manager. In this role, you will help ensure the Department acquires the goods and services needed to support State government while maintaining compliance with procurement laws, policies, and best practices.
You’ll work with leaders across the Department, partner with the Central Procurement Office, and serve as a trusted resource on procurement and contract administration. The monthly starting salary is $5,100 to $6,373, based on qualifications and experience. This position has a hybrid work schedule based in Nashville.
