The Opportunity

A wonderful opportunity has become available for an experienced Private Chef to join a warm, respectful UHNW household in Nashville, Tennessee.

The family is seeking a talented chef with previous experience working within private residences, who understands the importance of discretion, consistency, flexibility, and delivering exceptional food on a daily basis.

This is a long-term position where you'll become an integral part of a fully staffed household, working alongside an established team that includes housekeepers, a family assistant, and a Chief of Staff.

The successful candidate will primarily prepare lunch and dinner for the principal, with occasional meals for additional family members or guests.

The family enjoys clean, healthy, nutritious cuisine with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Meals should be light, creative, and full of flavour, avoiding heavy sauces or overly rich dishes. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys creating seasonal, well-balanced menus that support an active lifestyle.

Schedule

• Sunday through Thursday
• Lunch service between approximately 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
• Dinner service at approximately 6:30 PM
• Full-time position with consistency and long-term stability

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, healthy, and nutritious lunches and dinners daily.
• Design creative, seasonal menus tailored to the principal's preferences and nutritional goals.
• Source and purchase the highest quality ingredients from trusted local suppliers and specialty vendors.
• Manage all kitchen inventory, ensuring ingredients remain fresh and well-stocked.
• Handle grocery shopping, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
• Maintain accurate food inventory and kitchen organisation.
• Accommodate dietary preferences and evolving nutritional requirements.
• Prepare occasional meals for family members and visiting guests when required.
• Ensure exceptional food presentation and consistently high culinary standards.
• Maintain impeccable food safety and sanitation practices.
• Clean kitchen work surfaces, cooking equipment, and dishes used during meal preparation, leaving the kitchen organised for the household team.
• Collaborate professionally with other household staff to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Remain flexible to occasional schedule adjustments or special requests.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Private Chef within UHNW private households is essential.
• Strong understanding of healthy, clean, nutrition-focused cuisine.
• Ability to produce restaurant-quality meals in a private home environment.
• Passion for using fresh, seasonal, premium ingredients.
• Excellent menu planning and creativity while respecting dietary preferences.
• Experience managing kitchen inventory, purchasing, and food budgets.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
• Professional, discreet, and service-oriented.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a fully staffed household.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Legally authorised to work in the United States.
