Laboratory Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Lab Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Nashville, TN. This is a 3+ months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title: Lab Assistant

Location: Nashville, TN 37203

Pay Rate: $18 - $21/hr. on W2.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Duration: 3+ months

• Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical laboratory specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and enter specimen and patient information.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is functioning properly and perform basic maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues.
• Replenish laboratory supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative tasks.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous medical, laboratory, or production experience preferred.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify and process specimens.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.

• Department: Pathology/Histology Laboratory
• Specialty: Histology
• Standing Requirement: Approximately 50% of the workday.
