Barista with bartending skills

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, specialty coffees, and other beverages with precision and flair
• Demonstrate High quality latte art and provide our customers with a premium experience
• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch sandwiches
• Mix and serve cocktails and other bar beverages with professionalism and creativity
• Test and provide suggestions for recipe improvement or new recipe development
• Manage busy period with a calm demeanor
• Manage opening and/or closing procedures, including cash handling and equipment maintenance
• Provide exceptional customer service and build relationships with our regulars
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work station
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts

What We're Looking For

• We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of overall experience in specialty coffee and strong coffee knowledge.
• You must be a team player with strong communication skills and a strong work ethic
• You must be comfortable dialing in an espresso on a La Marzocco
• Prefer flexibility in schedule to pick up at least one opening and one closing shift per week
• You must be 21+ years old and have or willing to obtain OLCC Alcohol Service Permit & Multnomah County Food Handlers Card
• Bar experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person.

Compensation

Pay is competitive and will vary by experience.

Tips range from $5-$10+ an hour. On closing shifts you ll be working alone and keep your own tips. Most of the shift tips are highly reflective of the individual barista/bartender. There will be a 30 day review period to assess performance. With the right amount of work, there is an opportunity to grow with a team that values hard work, kindness and flexibility.
