HIRING BARISTA - PT

We're looking for the newest member of our friendly, close-knit team. Our current need is for a skilled barista who can do latte art for 20 - 26 hrs/week. At this time, we are not able to hire anyone without the ability to dial shots and steam milk for latte art as we have limited capacity to train.

Applications without this experience cannot be considered at this time, thank you for understanding! **Starting schedule will be Fri, Saturday and Sunday with potential for additional hours on Thursdays. Must have Thurs - Sun availability!**The work environment is light-hearted, fast paced, and friendly.

As a barista, you will be responsible for the following:- ensuring the quality of all coffee beverages and maintaining coffee equipment.- maintaining good communication with management and all staff- staying on task and completing checklists.- cross-train to be able to assist BOH staff as needed (preference shown to anyone with kitchen experience!)- being awesome!

Our ideal candidate cares about making excellent coffee, is fast and efficient without sacrificing quality, understands how to read tickets and prioritize accordingly, and doesn't feel overwhelmed by a Saturday morning rush. Ticket times are everything right now.

MUST MOVE QUICKLY! Excellent communication skills, keeping your station clean and organized, staying on top of your ingredient inventory/backstock, and keeping a steady flow (knock out those tasks in between rushes!) are all essential. Even though we are an established business (est in 2010), we are always trying to get more organized, increase our offerings, set up new systems, and just figure it out! We are looking for an individual who is adaptable, creative, easy going, energetic, friendly, positive, and enjoys problem solving. With so many spinning plates, it is vital that our staff can help with the balancing act!

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years barista experience and experience with latte art
• Current Food Handler s Card
• Ability to stand for 6-8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to multitask & problem-solve while maintaining quality of work
• Ability to maintain an uncluttered and tidy work space
• Ability to work both independently & as a team player
• Cash Handling

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Punctual and reliable (reliable transportation is a MUST!)
• Must have a relatively open availability and be able to work weekends- and just in case it wasn't clear . . . a great attitude!

Compensation

Starting wage is based on experience. Hourly pay starts at $17 along with pooled tips (which average $5-$6 per hour). Incremental raises will be based on performance and attendance.
